New Look - That's right! We will be launching parts of our website in our "New
Look" design. The new site will have a much more professional and modern look. It
will be easier to navigate and feature a forum, product listing and our JHSOnline shop to facilitate the ease
of placing orders online.


The first to be introduced will be the home page and a few informational pages. We will be
keeping this existing Weblog as we feel it functions well for you the user and us the
host.


Next will be the Forum where visitirs to the site will be able ask questions and offer
answers, access and post useful information. The last to be revealed, and the most
complexed to implement, will be the JHSOnline
Shop along with the catalog of products.

2005 closes as quickly as it opened, and we welcome 2006 with open arms. 2005 was an exciting year, with many challenges and rewards for us all. We would like to thank everyone for their support in choosing JHSOnline.

We are working to bring to you in 2006 projects that we have been working on in the background in the latter part of 2005.

Radiology will be a major feature for 2006 for JHSOnline. As you can see from the final posts in 2005 we will be introducing DIGITAL X-ray equipment and the latest generation ultrasound. The ultrasound is a hybrid offering the advantages of high-end stand alone unit with those of a portable unit.

We found a very high interest in non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring in the late part of 2005 and will continue to meet this demand with the latest offerings from our Respironics / Novametrix, Analogic and Datascope range.

The University Hospital will receive a Tanita Digital Scale for their dialysis unit through the generosity of Mrs. Ouidith. Mrs. Oudith's son Oliver Oudith, who received dialysis at the unit, recently died. Mrs. Oudith has kindly donated the desperately needed scale to the dialysis unit in memory to her son (1976 to 2005). The Tanita BWB 800-S Digital Scale will allow the weighing of patients up to 440 lbs/200kg.. The self zeroing of this unit will help to ensure accurate measurements for this critical area, and the main and battery operation will be useful, both for portability and in the instance of a local power outage.

Yes we are in the final few clicks to start running test on some new software/webpages. The JHSOnline
website has been slowly coming together over the last few month. We are
very excited to show you the finished product, which in truth will
never really be finished as it is dynamic and will be constantly
updated.

We have now switched over to software for our weblog. We were doing it all manually using a basic text editor (MS Wordpad) and webpage editor before. This made archiving tedious.

The new weblog "should" be much easier, offering automation to archiving and previously manual tasks.

2005!!! Well it is a New Year. Filled with anticipation of the unknown we all step forth into time. 2004 came and went faster than we wanted, time does fly when you have plans to execute. We closed the year with an exciting note. We shipped our first JHSOnline Store order. With more orders following. This PO came at the most challenging time of year for us to ship, the Christmas holidays. Pulling out all the stops we managed to have the PO shipped to the anxious client on time. The JHSOnline shop has kicked off to a great start with more orders than expected considering the small list offered so far. Please understand that though there are only a few items on the JHSOnline Store we offer over 5000 medical/surgical items. The Store will be expanded, but for now we are testing merchandising software to decide which one to standardise on. Based on which system we go with will also determine the look/layout of the store. We are also looking at the methods of ONLINE payment for the Store but have not yet decided. Paypal more than likely. We are now using the most secure method ... "offline payment" . 2005 looks exciting already.
